Off the grid

Hi all,

So as you’ve probably noticed I’ve now made the move to shiga prefecture (home of the majestic lake biwa.) Unfortunately, due to Japanese bureaucracy and phone issues, I do not have internet access most of the day and can currently only get it if I go and stand outside 7 eleven. As such, regular posts will be postponed indefinitely until all this gets sorted out (it could take weeks). I may still post pictures of where I am but that’s only because I already have them on my phone (all scat pictures are on my computer).

It’s not bad. I’m in Tokyo for a three day orientation before I head to my assigned town. It’s pretty boring but I had a chance to explore a bit last night and it was fun. Don’t think I’ll have much free time here but it will definitely be spent exploring (or playing taiko drum master at the arcade).
